2019: North-west APC Inaugurates Coordinators For Buhari

BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – No fewer than 186 local government coordinators from all the North-west geo-political zone have been inaugurated to drum up support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari come 2019.
Inaugurating the coordinators in Kaduna, Acting chairman of the coordinators, Yusuf Bala Ikara, said the North-west zone was careful to select diligent minds to work for the re-election of President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
He said the organization was a collection of young parliamentarians from the North-west zone who have voluntarily resolved to support Buhari and Osinbajo to continue steering the political ship of the nation beyond 2019.
Considering the laudable achievements of Buhari-led government, he explained that the leadership has unequivocally recorded indelible marks that remain on the sand of political history of Nigeria as landmark of resounding success in the areas of security, economy, fight against corruption and infrastructural development with consequent redemption of the hitherto soiled image of Nigeria in the comity of nation.
According to Ikara, “There is no gain saying that President Muhammadu Buhari took the leadership of Nigeria when it was almost on a brink of collapse evident in the activities
of the terrorist and irreligious Boko Haram which led to the taken over fourteen (14) Local Governments and hoisted their flags in Borno State.
“The eventual spread their tentacles to other parts of the Northeast and gradually launching bomb attacks as well as suicide bombings on other parts of the Northeast the mantle of control of the Nigerian economy was battered by the government that President Buhari succeeded to the point that payment of workers salary were about to be impo to the embezzlement, bribery and other related economic and financial recklessness.
“The Nigerian economy is oil pipelines and oil bunkering by the so-called militants in the Niger Delta further subjected to agony by the recurrent vandalization and the subjection of Nigeria to security threats and the battering of its economy, coupled with the various styles of corruption which heavily led to its loss of integrity, sincerity and trust by other nations.
“Furthermore, the President Muhammadu Buhari led Administration was faced with a bad luck of drastic fall of oil price which further crippled the Nigerian economy as a result of high dependency on the oil sector as main source of revenue.”
He explained that the Buhari-led administration has recorded tremendous achievements, adding that the administration could not achieve more than what it has so far if not for the support of Nigerians.
Despite the aforementioned obstacles encountered by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, he said, it was able to tackle the issue of Boko Haram to the extent of not having control over single town in the whole country and their power of bomb attacks and suicide bombings was reduced to the minimum.
