BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, BAUCHI – As the race towards 2023 is gradually building up, a socio-political group in Bauchi State has asked Governor Bala Mohammed to yield to the wishes of the people by joining the 2023 presidential race in the overall interest of the country.

The group on the aegis of “Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Vanguard (BAM-V)” at the end of its inaugural meeting held that took place in Bauchi on Monday, said that Governor Mohammed has what it takes to fix the myriads of crisis facing Nigeria.

National Coordinator BAM-V, Comrade Mohammed Abubakar Jibo, who spoke at the official inauguration of the group’s executive council, declared that if elected as President, Mohammed would solve the problems.

Jobo noted that among those that are secretly aspiring for the number one office in the country, Governor Mohammed stands out as the only person that possesses needed qualities for the office of President of Nigeria.

He told members of the group, which he said was a metamorphosis of the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations for Transparency and Good Governance, that they arrived at the decision to prevail on Bala Mohammed to join the 2023 presidential race owing to his vast experience and knowledge of the situation in Nigeria.

He added that the call on Mohammed was reached after wide consultations and considerations in its quest to present credible and competent person to steer the ship of the country come 2023.

Jibo also explained that coalition of civil society organizations, cannot engage in partisan politics, hence the emergence of BAM-V to champion the course for Bala Mohammed’s Presidency in 2023.

He therefore appealed to Governor Mohammed to answer the group’s calls and contest the 2023 presidency.

Jibo denied insinuations that his group is being sponsored by some politicians in the state.
