2023 Polls: Kwankwaso Banks On Massive Crowd Support For Victory
- Says electoral shocker awaits APC, PDP
- Commissions Gombe State NNPP Office

BY WILLIAM ATTAH, GOMBE – Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso says an electoral shocker awaits the so-called established political parties as Nigerians are daily desirous to end the old order that has brought them untold hardship and sufferings over the years.
The former Governor of Kano State and one time Minister of Defence said the time has come for Nigerians to collectively decide for better days and years ahead through the ballot come 2023 general elections by rejecting both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Kwankwaso, who spoke at the commissioning of the Gombe State NNPP’s office on Saturday evening, described the tutulmous welcome by the people as a sign that Nigerians are desirous of seeing the end of the President Muhammadu Buhari led APC government.
He said the massive crowd that received him at the Airport and the State capital is great motivation and indication that Gombe State has joined Kano State and others in the league of “Kwankwasiya States”.
Shortly after commissioning the State party office, Kwankwaso told party supporters at the Gombe International Hotel that the NNPP, which is barely three to four months old on the political terrain, is set to change the narrative as it offers Nigerians hopes and a breath of fresh air going forward.
He said NNPP is ready to bring real positive change to Nigerians by wiping away the tears and sufferings inflicted on them by the Buhari led APC government in more than seven years.
According to him, Nigerians must punish the selfish and greedy APC government officials for collapsing all sectors of the Nigerian economy with the exception of their pockets.
The Leader of ‘Kwankwasiya Movement’ urged the electorate to go out and acquire their PVC’s as that is the only means they can deploy to change the tide positively in Nigeria.
In his remarks, Chairman, NNPP’s Board of Trustees, Alhaji Buba Galadima, said 2023 elections will be very interesting for the NNPP given the manner it has been well received in Gombe State.
He challenged the party members and supporters to go for their PVC’s as well as mobilize themselves in all parts of the State, especially in villages to do same.
For the State’s Governorship candidate of the party, Alhaju Ahmed Khamisu Mailantarki, it was praises galore for the Presidential candidate’s visit, assuring that the newly commissioned office will greatly enhance NNPP’s campaign activities across the length and breadth of the State.
Mailantarki said NNPP in Gombe State is relying so much on the masses who are its backbone, stressing that they have captured the minds of Gombe people following the footsteps Kwankwaso, the party leader, in empowering the youths to realize their dreams and potentials in different sectors of life.
“By copying your legacies, we were able to send no fewer than eight young Nigerians to pursue their football career in Europe and other parts of world and we still plan more of such initiative”, Mailantarki stated.
