BY SEGUN ADEBAYO – Chairman of the Southern Governors Forum (SGF) and Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, says there should be no grudge against the Northern governors over their stand in kicking against power shifting to the south in 2023 or any other issue of note.

In a terse response through the Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo in Akure, the Ondo State capital late on Monday night, Governor Akeredolu said his colleagues in the north have every right to exercise their right under freedom of expression.

Addressing issues around resolutions reached by the Northern Governors Forum (NGF), who rose from their emergency meeting in Kaduna, Governor Akeredolu said; “On the northern governors’ resolutions, They have expressed and indeed exercised their rights under Freedom of Expression.”

“No one can stop them from expressing themselves”, the SGF Chairman said.
