Nigeria’s female sprinter, Ofili Favour has qualified for the finals of the Women’s 200 meters final at the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics.
In the semi-final Heat number one ran inside Stade de France, the 21-year-old Delta State-born athlete came second behind the newly-crowned Olympics women’s 100 metres Champion, Alfred Julien of Saint Lucia.
Ofili breasted the tape at 22.05 seconds, which is her season’s best time, with Julien running an impressive time of 21.98 seconds.
In third place was 24-year-old Long Mckenzie of United States (US) who clocked 22.30 seconds
The final is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 20:40 local time.
