Anti-Party Activities: PDP Suspends Nnamani, Ogbu, Fayose, Funso, Others

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday, January 20, 2023 announced the immediate suspension of former governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu State) and Chief Chris Ogbu (Imo State) over allegations bordering on anti-party activities.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Party which approved the suspension said that it took the decision after an extensive review and consideration of the affairs of the PDP in the country.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, said the suspension of the members was pursuant to the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).

Similarly, the NWC also approved the suspension of the under listed Party members in Ekiti State with effect from Friday, January 20, 2023, over allegations of anti-party activities.

The suspended Ekiti State chapter members include Ayeni Funso – (Ekiti North), Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji – (Ekiti Central), Emiola Adenike Jennifer – (Ekiti South II), Ajayi Babatunde Samuel – (Ekiti North II), Olayinka James Olalere – (Ekiti Central), Akerele Oluyinka – (Ekiti North I) and Fayose Oluwajomiloju John – (Ekiti Central I).

The PDP urged all of its leaders, critical stakeholders and its teeming members across the country to remain united and focused on the mission of the Party to Rescue, Rebuild and Redirect the nation from misrule.
