Abducted Taraba Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Regains Freedom

BY AMEH IDUJAGI, JALINGO – The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state, Alhaji Hassan Mijinyawa, who was kidnapped on Wednesday has been released by his abductors after spending four days in captivity.

Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Bala Dan-Abu, confirmed the release of Mijinyawa by his abductors to newsmen on Sunday. 

Dan-Abu said Mijinyawa was released in the late hours of Saturday and has been reunited with his family.

Mijinyawa was abducted by unknown gunmen while on his way to Gembu along the Bali-Gashaka axis of the road.
