Feeling used and dumped like a pack of rotten pack of potatoes, former National Vice Chairman North-east of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nafi’u Bala has expressed regret over the role he played in the party’s crisis.

Bala pointedly blamed a member of the House of Representatives, Hon Leke Abejide and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir Lawal for his actions.

The expression of regrets by Bala was revealed on Friday in Abuja by one of his close friends and namesake, Nafiu Umaru, who said that Bala lamented that ever since the crisis broke out, his life and that of his family have been in danger.

Bala equally said that he was more pained that he has not been able to attend congregational prayers with other Muslims at the mosque for fear of being attacked.

Umaru quoted Nafiu Bala as having said that all the promises made to him to destabilise the ADC were not fulfilled, stressing that he is now tired of the whole crisis.

Umaru said Nafiu particularly complained that Hon. Abejide betrayed him by abandoning the party and leaving him to face the trouble alone just as he accused Babachir Lawal of provoking him into agreeing to sabotage the ADC.

According to Umaru; “Nafiu Bala complained that Babachir Lawal denied him his position in the party and also insulted him”.

Bala also complained that up to this moment, he has not gotten any tangible reward from Hon. Abejide, except feeding money, despite having lost contact with his family and also unable to go to mosque.

Umaru quoted Bala as having said; “Hon Abejide promised that the Presidency, through the Chief of Staff was going to reward my role, but up to this moment, nothing has happened.

“They are only paying the legal team. In fact, the lawyers are benefiting more than me in this case and now that Abejide has left the ADC for APC, I will also withdraw from the case to free myself,” Bala was quoted as saying.

Umaru said he advised Bala to withdraw from the case and apologise to the public, saying that Bala also told him that he actually resigned from his former position in the Party and participated in all activities that brought about the David Mark and Aregbesola leadership on board.

Umaru said that Nafiu Bala promised to address the public soon on the matter in order to free himself.
