Again! Terrorists Strike Another Kwara Community, Abduct Children, Pregnant Women, Nursing Mothers

Barely 24 hours after the release of the 38 victims that were abducted in Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku, Kwara State, terrorists again struck in Isapa, another community in Ekiti Local Government Area of the State during which they abducted at least 11 residents including pregnant woman, nursing mother, and little children.

Information pieced together by Forefront News, indicated that the dare devil terrorists carried out the fresh attack on Monday, November, 24, 2025 at about 6:00 p.m.

It was gathered that about 30 of the armed men stormed the Isapa which is said to be close to Eruku town, firing sporadically and thereby sent unsuspecting residents to flee for safety.

During the melee caused by the sporadic shooting, an elderly woman was reportedly hit by a stray bullet.

A community leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that seven of the abducted victims are from a single household.

According to the community leader; “The victims include a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers, and several young children”.

However, elders of the community have released the names of those kidnapped to include; Talatu Kabiru – 20, Magaji – 6,

Kande – 5, Hadiza -10, Mariam – 6, Saima – 5, Habibat – housewife, Fatima Yusufu – housewife, Sarah Sunday – 22 (pregnant), Lami Fidelis – 23 (nursing mother) and Haja Na Allah (nursing mother)

Eyewitnesses account said the terrorists moved through different sections of the town (Isapa), leaving bullet holes in walls and doors of houses.

It was also gathered that security operatives who later visited the town, recovered expended AK-47 shells at different places.

The unfortunate development has further escalated tensions in Isapa and other neighbouring communities, thereby prompted an upscale operations by security agencies and local vigilante groups with a view to tracking down the terrorists’ kidnappers and ensure the release of the victims.

While confirming the sad development, the Commissioner of police for the Kwara State command, CP Adekimi Ojo, said; “Yes, there was an incident, but I cannot say much now. I am about to enter Isapa from Ilorin. I will update you when I get there”.

The latest dimension of the kidnap by the terrorists is quite worrisome owing to the abduction pregnant women, nursing mothers, and young children among the victims.
