Anambra 2017: Nobody Can Stop Me Now – Chidoka
BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – A contender in the November 18, 2017 Anambra State gubernatorial election, Chief Osita Chidoka has said that nothing whatsoever can stop the people from reclaiming their State through United Progressive Party (UPP)’s determined goal of winning the governorship seat.
Chidoka, who stated this on Friday when he received correspondences from the Anambra State Working Committee of UPP recanting its controversial and unlawful suspension order earlier clamped on him, also apologized for the embarrassment the episode may have caused the party and its teeming supporters.
Accordingly; Chidoka called on all UPP members, especially delegates to the governorship primaries, to put the unfortunate and distracting episode behind them and continue to work hard for the Party’s success in November.
He noted that while those who fuelled the now resolved issue had aimed to use it to scuttle our August 19, 2017 governorship primaries, the UPP, as a focused party, has overcome its adversaries and now heading to win the main election come November 18th.
Chidoka urged members and supporters of the party to be at alert, saying the enemies of Anambra State, who having realized UPP’s inevitable destination, are now in frenzy mode, seeking all means to distract and disorient their ranks.
According to him; “We are not unaware of plots being hatched by these foes of Anambra State to destabilize our party and attempt to manipulate the mandate of the people in this election, but we know that Ndi Anambra have made up their minds to join forces with the UPP to free our state from the shackles of the oppressive few.”
The former Minister of Aviation equally beckons on all the people of Anambra State, his teeming supporters and army of volunteers in the 326 electoral wards across the state to continue to work hard to ensure that no space is left uncovered in their grassroots’ mobilization effort.
He expressed confidence that the delegates to the governorship primaries are very dedicated party men and women, who cannot be swayed by sentiments but would vote for a candidate who has shown practical commitment and boldness in protecting and projecting the cause of the UPP and the South-east in general.
