Anambra Guber Poll: 12 Jostle For APC Ticket

…Ondo Deputy Gov Heads Screening Committee

BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – No fewer than 12 aspirants are vying for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Anambra State governorship election.

The aspirants include Chukwuma Paul; Madu Nonso I.; Moghalu George N.; Nwibe Bart; Nwike Patrick N.; Nwoye Tony; Obidigbo Chike; Okonwko D.; Onunkwo Johnbosco O.; Uba Andy E.; Uchegbu Adoabi K. and Uzoh Obinna‎.

This is just as the National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reeled out its election timetable for the Anambra State governorship election.

National Organising Secretary of the Party, Senator Osita Izunaso, who announced the release of the time table said the screening of aspirants will hold on Thursday 10th and Friday 11, August 2017, while the screening Appeal is scheduled to take place on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th, August, 2017.

Osita also said that party’s primary election will hold on Saturday August 19, 2017, while primary election Appeal will take place on Monday August 21, 2017.

In a related development, the APC National Organising Secretary on Wednesday inaugurated a 7-member screening committee for the Party’s aspirants vying for the Anambra governorship seat.

The committee, which is chaired by the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, has Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo; Barr. Awele Nwoko; Vice Admiral Ishaya Ibrahim; Sen. Usman Wowo; Hon. Halims Agoda and Alh. Ba’aba Umar as members.
