Anambra Guber Poll: Vote Wrongly And Regret It – NUP Candidate
BY RAPHAEL ONYEKACHUKWU, ENUGU – The National Unity Party (NUP)’s candidate for the November 18 Anambra State governorship election, Sir Justin Amechi Nnoli has warned Ndi-Anambra against voting for the wrong candidate or live to regret in the next four years.
He said “Ndi-Anambra must be mindful of the person they entrust their future in the coming four years or they will live to regret their ill-thought actions.”
Nnoli, who delivered the warning on his campaign trails at the weekend, said NUP will liberate Anambra State from socio-economic bondage if given the opportunity to mount the seat of governance come November 18.
He said the era of financial rapacity and lack of transparency will be gone for good as the NUP administration is determined to institutionalised accountability and financial probity in all government business.
The Gubernatorial candidate said his party is working hard to sweep the polls, pledging that an NUP regime will ensure financial probity and all-inclusive governance by publishing all revenue accruing to the state, from both Federation Account as well as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Pledging to be a servant leader that is open to divergent views and democratic tenets, Nnoli said; “I, Sir Justin Amaechi Nnoli, if elected come November 18, 2017, will live up to my promise and commitment to our people by publishing all revenue accruing to the state.
“I shall be more than satisfied with my salary rather than dipping my hands into the State treasury. I, hereby, with all sense of humility, sincerity and commitment, offer myself as your servant.”
The governorship hopeful urged the people of Anambra State to ‘shine their eyes well-well’ to avoid making the wrong choice that they will live to regret afterwards.
“My sincere advise and plea to Ndi- Anambra is that we must be very careful in our choice come November. Who we give and entrust with our mandate is very crucial. I therefore appeal to us all to open our eyes wide open, and shine it too against the scavengers”, he pleaded.
