Anti-Party: PDP Refers Ortom To Disciplinary Committee, Suspends Fayose, Shema, Anyim, Others

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday rose from a crucial meeting during which it reviewed the activities of some of its leaders and referred Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State to the National Disciplinary Committee over his reported involvement in anti-party activities.

The NWC also approved the suspension of the following from the Party with immediate effect of former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Ibrahim Shema, former Senate President, Senator Pius Anyim, Prof. Dennis Ityavyar (Benue State), and Dr. Aslam Aliyu (Zamfara State)

The Party national leadership said that its decision was taken after very extensive review of the affairs of Party in the country and pursuant to the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017)

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba urged all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the Party across the country to remain united and focused at this critical time.
