APC Crisis: Oshiomhole Bounces Back As Appeal Court Orders Stay of Execution of Order Suspending Him
BY AMOS DUN IA, ABUJA – The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division on Monday, granted an order of stay of execution of the Abuja High Court ruling that suspended Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
The court, whose three-man panel of justices was reconstituted and led by Justice Yahaya Dattijo, issued an interlocutory injunction restraining the Respondents from taking steps to give effect to the High court ruling, pending the determination of the appeals Oshiomhole filed before the appellate Court.
The Justices accordingly, fixed Thursday, March 19, 2020 to hear the two appeals marked CA/A/187/2020 and CA/A/188/2020.
The Appeal Court order was predicated on an ex-parte application filed by the lawyers to Oshiomhole led by Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN.
