APC Flaunts Anambra Guber Results As Testimony Of Buhari’s Commitment To Free, Fair Polls
BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday said the smooth conduct of last Saturday’s election, irrespective of its outcome, is a testimony to the Party’s and President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to free, fair and transparent polls.
The governing Party commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for conducting what is regarded as a credible election, which passes the integrity test.
It also praised what it described as the high level of dedication and professionalism displayed by the security agencies and other ad-hoc staff mobilised for the election.
The APC, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi congratulated Governor Willie Obiano, who was declared winner of the Anambra governorship election.
It also congratulated its Anambra governorship candidate, Dr Tony Nwoye for his impressive performance at the election and his graciousness in conceding defeat.
The APC appealed to other candidates and parties who participated in the election to accept the outcome as a true reflection of the will of the Anambra people.
