APC Govs Celebrate Oshiomhole @68

• Applaud his commitment to united, prosperous Nigeria
• Seek support for FG’s fight against coronavirus

BY VICTOR OSOWOCHI, ABUJA – Governors on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) are celebrating the party’s National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and acknowledging that his commitment towards building a united and prosperous Nigeria remains unshakeable.

Typically demonstrating the popular saying that ‘after the storm comes calm’, Chairman of the APC Governors Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu said Comrade Oshiomhole’s contributions to a united Nigeria as well as one of the founding members of the Forum are indelible.

The Progressive Governors’ flowery adulation was contained in their message of felicitation to Oshiomhole on the occasion of his 68th birthday anniversary delivered by Governor Bagudu, hitherto seen as the arrow-head of those seeking the APC National Chairman’s exit from office.

According to the congratulatory message; “The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) joins all Nigerians, to celebrate the birthday of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress on his 68th birthday. We celebrate this special occasion with Your Excellency and your entire family.

“We, in particular, wish to acknowledge and commend your commitment to a united prosperous Nigeria. We also acknowledge your contributions as one of the founding members of this Forum and continues inputs to the processes of managing governance in Nigeria.

“As our National Chairman, we join your family, our party members and all Nigerians to celebrate you.”

The Forum also used the opportunity to seek the understanding and support of Nigerians in the face of current biting measures taken by the Federal and various State governments in fighting the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Their message further said; “Once more, as we rejoice with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, we call on Nigerians to observe all the social distancing measures and stay safe as we all work together towards overcoming the current COVID-19 global pandemic.

“We commend all our frontline medical personnel under the leadership of our Federal Ministry of Health and National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

“May God continue to guide our country and the world to succeed to bring to an immediate end this world pandemic”, the Progressives’ Governors prayed.
