APC National Chair: Northern Youths Endorse Senator Sani Musa

BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, BAUCHI – A political pressure group on the aegis of ‘Coalition of Northern Youths in Politics (CNYP)’, an umbrella body of Northern Nigerian Youths (NNY), has endorsed Senator Muhammad Sani Musa (313) for the position of National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The endorsement is coming ahead of the national Convention of the APC as party supporters and pressure groups increase the momentum of support for their choice or preferred aspirants for the national chairmanship position of the party.

One of such groups is CNYP which is throwing its weight and endorsing Senator Muhammad Sani Musa (313) representing Niger East Senatorial district of Niger State in Senate.

The Coalition in a press statement after its meeting in Bauchi on Saturday, said Senator Musa’s uncompromising commitment to the APC right from its merger days to date makes him the right choice for the office.

Chairman of the Coalition, Mr. Auwal M. Gotal in the statement said that CNYP endorsed Senator Musa owing to his commitment towards promoting youth inclusiveness in governance, adding that Musa is the best candidate for the position of the national chairman of the party.

Gotal said; “We want him as the National Chairman of the APC because of his concern for the party and its members”.

Gotal said that members of the Coalition has resolved to go round the 19 Northern States to garner more support from stakeholders for Senator Musa before the APC convention slated for February 26, this year.

He further said; “Senator Musa (313) is the only viable option that will unite the party while also maintaining strong neutrality in spearheading the affairs of the Party. It is against this backdrop that we are strongly behind his candidature”.
