The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has categorically distanced itself from the revised list of members of the Tinubu/Shettima 2023 President Campaign Council.

President of CAN, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, who stated the position of the Christian body while reacting to the inclusion of some names of its outgoing officials on the APC list, stressed that CAN is known for its stance on non-partisanship.

Archbishop assured that CAN will launch an investigation into the matter which he described as worrisome, stressing that it counters the well-known stance of the Christian body on partisanship.

In his words; “I want to categorically exonerate my humble self from this development and any of such that may occur in the future”.

The CAN President said that he has commenced full investigation into how the officials got involved in overt partisanship, adding that at the end of the probe, CAN will take fair, but decisive and appropriate action with a view to defending the ideals of the umbrella Christian body.
