Assets Declaration: CCB Applauds ITF Leadership

The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Prof Muhammad Isah has commended the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), under Sir Joseph N. Ari for ensuring that staff of the Fund were sensitised on assets declaration and full compliance with its provisions.

Prof Isah, who was represented by a member of the Board of the Bureau, Prof. Samuel F. Ogundare, stated this at a workshop for ITF staff on Strict Compliance with Assets Declaration and Code of Conduct Workshop for Public Officers in Jos.

He said that the workshop which took place on Monday, July 5, 2020 was pursuant to efforts by the current Management of the CCB to ensure the achievement of the Board’s mandate, which amongst others, is the need to establish and maintain a high standard of public morality in the conduct of Government business.

He also said that it is to ensure that the actions and behaviour of public officers conform to the highest standards of public morality and accountability.

A statement issued by Mr. Suleyol Fred Chagu, Director, Public Affairs of ITF quoted Prof Isah as having said, “the workshop was testament to the ITF’s resolve to ensure its staff are sensitised and enlightened on assets declaration and code of conduct,” which he described as key to fighting corruption.

Earlier, the Director-General of the ITF, Sir Joseph N. Ari said that the Fund is renowned for its compliance with the regulations of sister Agencies such as the Code of Conduct Bureau.

Sir Ari assured that the ITF would continue to build a good working relationship with the Code of Conduct Bureau in order to achieve the mutual goal of nation building.
