Attack On Soludo: Police Arrest Four Additional Suspects in Anambra

The Anambra State Command has announced the arrest of four additional suspects in connection with the attack and gruesome murder of three policemen at Isuofia Civic Center in Aguata Local Government Area of the State.

The Commissioner of Police in-charge of Anambra State, CP Monday Bala Kuryas, who announced the arrest of the four suspects by operatives attached to his command on Thursday, April 1, 2021, said that efforts are still on going to apprehend other fleeing accomplices, unravel the circumstances surrounding the incidence and bring the perpetrators to book.

The arrest suspects are; Mbah Victor ‘M’ aged 30years, John Olisakwe ‘M’ aged 21years. Chigozie Omeh ‘M’ aged 20years and Emmanuel Nnobi ‘M’ aged 28years.

The police said that the suspects confessed to have actively taken part in the attack and subsequent abduction of the Commissioner for Public and Utilities, Mr Emeka Ezenwanne.

The Anambra police command said that operatives are working assiduously to rescue Ezenwanne.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said that CP Kuryas has reiterated his commitment towards ensuring safety and security of Ndi Anambra* and residence alike.
The CP therefore urged the public not to relent in providing useful information that will assist the command to nip in the board all forms of criminality in the state including similar ugly incidents.
