BAP Reality Show Floats N25m, Mouth-watering Prizes
BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, GOMBE – Mouth-watering prizes are up for grabs by participants in this year’s Reality TV show powered by the Basement Search and tagged: ‘The Film Makers Edition’.
With their talents on display for a national audience to appreciate, winners at the show are expected to go home with a car gift and various gift items worth about N25 million in total package.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Basement Africa Productions, Engineer Okiemute Onovughakpo, said participants will be judged based on their acting skills by the celebrity judges.
In a statement made available to Journalists in Gombe, Onovughakpo said the programme is essentially to create fresh set of movie stars for the Nigerian film industry.
According to the CEO, the event’s organizers have already taken their message to Warri and Port Harcourt where thousands of Nollywood lovers and aspiring actors thronged the audition venue for a spot at the Basement Search Reality TV show.
He also revealed that other places already covered include Aba in Abia State, Owerri in Imo State and Awka, the Anambra state capital.
Onovughakpo hinted that on April 10 and 13, 2021, the audition train will hit Enugu and Benin at Ofuobi African Cultural Centre and Hexagon respectively while April 16, 20, and 24 are for Golden Tulip Hotel Jericho in Ibadan; Grand Cubana in Abuja and Vienna Hotel, Asaba respectively.
The organisers stated that accreditation for participants will kick off by 10am on each date at all the listed venues.
The Chief Executive said with the stakes now higher and the competition getting tougher, the train is slated to go round a total of 10 locations to pick potential film makers into the House, where contestants will then compete for the grand prize of a brand new car and 25 million worth of prizes.
Explaining the concept for the reality show, the organisers said 30 housemates will be elected to the house for 42 days and movie makers will be available to develop their movie making skills.
The winner will thereafter emerge by votes of the viewing audience at home who are expected to vote for their favourite contestant.
