Benue: Outcome Of APC Stakeholders Meeting, Step To Rebuilding Trust – Gov Alia Says

Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has described the outcome of the reconciliation meeting by key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State as a major step towards reconstructing trust, confidence, spirit of togetherness and cohesion within the party.

The Governor particularly hailed the peaceful conduct of the meeting and the spirit of reconciliation demonstrated by all stakeholders that attended the meeting.

While expressing optimism that the resolutions reached will introduce and welcome a new phase of peace, oneness, and unison among members of the APC in Benue State, Governor Alia urged all stakeholders and their supporters to sustain the momentum by embracing dialogue, mutual respect, and collective responsibility in advancing the interests of the party.

Alia expressed sincere and deep appreciation to stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for honouring his invitation to the reconciliation meeting held at the New Banquet Hall of Government House, Makurdi on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

He specifically noted that the presence of key party leaders, that included the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, former Governor Gabriel Suswam and his Deputy, Chief Stephen Lawani, past and serving members of the National Assembly, members of the Benue State House of Assembly, serving federal government appointees, and other critical stakeholders, underscores a shared commitment to the unity, stability, and progress of the party in the state.

A statement by Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Governor, stated that Alia wished all stakeholders success in their respective aspirations and called for continued collaboration in the pursuit of peace, development, and good governance in Benue State.
