Borno Police Kills Suicide Female Bomber, Intercepts One

The Borno State Police Command on Tuesday announced the killing of a suspected female suicide bomber and the arrest of another in Maiduguri, Borno State.

A short message from the spokesperson of the Borno State Police Command stated as follows: “Today 7/2/17 at about 0700hrs, two female suicide bombers about 18yrs old, were sighted behind Mega filling station in Molai area, while attempting to infiltrate Maiduguri town.

“They were intercepted by security personnel on duty. One was arrested while the other was shot dead. The Police EOD personnel were quickly drafted to the scene and rendered the area safe.”
