Change Party Now – APC Bigwigs Woo PDP Colleagues

BY CHAMBERLAIN ODEY, JOS – As political parties re-strategize for the 2023 general elections, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bigwigs in Plateau State, Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, has urged his former colleagues in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to make hay and join the ruling party in moving the State forward to greatness.

In wooing his PDP’s counterparts, Zazzaga said the time to jump ship and embrace the APC is now in order to access democracy dividends being enjoyed by others on the Plateau.

Zazzaga spoke in Jos while addressing journalists on the choice and quality of APC gubernatorial candidate, Nentawe Yilwatda, and why the ruling party is set for victory in the 2023 general
election.

The Bigwigs’ chairman, who defected from the PDP to APC in 2015, said he with other stakeholders have been instrumental to the ruling party’s growth on several fronts.

According to him, there are many of his former colleagues in the PDP, who are politically brilliant and hardworking, but hardly get any benefit from their political activities and commitment to the PDP, and that should not be the case as there should always be rewards for loyalty.

He said it is in such people’s utmost interest and that of their ardent supporters to embrace APC, join hands with him and other party leaders for the victory party come 2023.

Forecasting that many people from different political parties would soon be emptying en-masse into the APC, which is big and accommodative enough for everyone in Plateau, Zazzaga said a great opportunity is now presenting itself for his PDP colleagues to join the APC honourably and respectfully.

“Some of my colleagues and political associates remaining in the PDP have been abandoned, and they are just wandering in political wilderness.

“Most of those colleagues are very intelligent and are political juggernauts who worked tirelessly for the entrenchment of democracy and building strong political structures in Plateau State.

“Unfortunately, they have not been enjoying political dividends commensurate with their efforts and contributions. That is why I am calling on them to join me in the ruling party, the APC, so that they can bring in their wealth of experience and knowledge to work together with the other dogged leaders, members, and supporters of our party”, he said.

Assessing the APC gubernatorial flag bearer in Plateau State, Zazzaga said Yilwatda is the candidate to beat because his pedigree presents him as the right man for the job.

He described the Standard bearer as a sincere and committed enthusiast for the development of the state and its citizens, urging the party members and supporters to intensify their campaigns and other political strategies to ensure the candidate achieve victory by landslide at the poll and continue with the task of developing the state.

The APC Chieftain also commended Governor Simon Lalong for his focused and inclusive style of leadership which has not only advanced the state, but also brought joy to many and offered hope for the hopeless.
