Cheery News As Bandits Free Another 10 Bethel Baptist Students
It is cheery news as another batch of 10 abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School, Maraban Damishi, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, regained their freedom at the weekend.
This latest development brings the total number of those released to 100 students of the 121 students abducted by the bandits early in July 2021.
The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State, John Hayab, confirmed the cheering news to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna on Sunday, adding that the students were freed on Saturday evening.
“We are praying that the bandits will release the remaining 21 students soon,” Hayab said.
The bandits had in the early hours of July 5, 2021, invaded the school and kidnapped 121 students.
The Public Relations Officer of Kaduna State Police Command, Muhammad Jalige, also confirmed that the students have been released and are already reunited with their respective families.
