The High Court sitting in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital on Monday adjourned indefinitely the trial of the suspected killers of Sheik Goni Aisami.
The trial judge, Justice Amina Shehu, who is a vacation judge, adjourned the case after the Attorney General of Yobe State and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Saleh Samanja prayed the court to give his prosecuting team adequate time to put together the witnesses for the proper trial of the substantive matter.
The case, which came up for mention on Monday, September 19, 2022, had Justice Amina Shehu ruling that a new date for the trial will be communicated to all parties involved in the case.
According to reports, both two accused were brought to court guarded by heavily armed police personnel.
