BY VICTOR OSOWOCHI – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says the figure of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country currently stands at 288 as at Thursday, April 9, 2020.

According to NCDC, of the 288 cases that have been confirmed, 51 cases have been discharged with seven (7) deaths recorded s far.

The 14 new cases came in from only two states with Lagos as the epicentre  having 13 and Delta state recording one (1) case.

The NCDC said the multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.

Meanwhile, the Center has apologize to Nigerians and the Bahchi State government for the error in its reported cases in the North East State.
