COVID-19: Nigeria’s Figure Now 232 As NCDC Confirms 8 New Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says eight new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have been confirmed in the country as at late Sunday night.

According to the Centre, of the eight new cases, five (5) are in Lagos, two (2) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and one (1) in Kaduna State, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 232 across Nigeria.

Dropping the good news that 33 patients have so far been treated and discharged, the Centre however regretted that the records of deaths from coronavirus now stands at five (5) in the country

It gave current breakdown of confirmed cases indicating that Lagos, the epicentre of COVID-19 has 120; Federal Capital Territory (FCT) –  47; Osun – 20; Oyo and Edo –  nine (9) each; and Bauchi – six (6).

Others are Kaduna and Akwa Ibom – five (5) each; Ogun – four (4); Enugu and Ekiti – two (2) each; with Rivers, Benue and Ondo having one (1) confirmed case each. – With agency reports
