The Cross River State Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF), Abuja, has sent its condolences to the Minister of State in the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan-Enoh, and Secretary to the Cross River State Government, Professor Anthony Owan Enoh, over the sudden passing of their younger brother, Reverend Father Victor Achima Owan-Enoh.

Family sources said Rev. Fr Owan-Enoh died on Sunday morning, 8th February 2026 in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

A condolence message issued in Abuja and signed by CROSSJOF’s Chairman, Francisca Ogar and Secretary, Raphael Ekpang, said the death of Rev. Fr. Victor was a painful loss not only to the Owan-Enoh’s family but also to Cross River State, the Catholic Church and the larger Christian community in Nigeria.

While noting that Rev. Fr. Victor lived a life of service, devotion, and commitment to the work of God and humanity, the Forum said his passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him and benefited from his priestly ministry.

CROSSJOF extended its heartfelt sympathies to Senator Owan-Enoh, the entire Owan-Enoh family, and particularly the aged mother of the deceased during this difficult moment of grief.

In praying God’s comfort and strength for the family and all those mourning the departed priest, CROSSJOF said: “May the soul of Rev. Fr. Victor Achima Owan-Enoh rests in perfect peace.”

According to close family sources, the late Catholic priest, the first to be ordained from Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State, had been battling health issues for some time.
