Dapchi Sch Girls: CAN Demands Release Of Leah Sharibu
BY CHAMBERLIAIN ODEY, JOS – Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), North, Rev Yakubu Pam has urged the Federal Government to ensure that Miss Leah Nathan Sharibu, the only Christian Dapchi school girl still held in captivity by Boko Haram abductors because she refused and resisted conversion to Islam, is released unconditionally and immediately to reunite with her parents.
Rev Pam however commended President Muhammadu Buhari for taking proactive security measures that led to the recovery of the 105 Dapchi school girls after about a month in the Boko Haram’s den.
In a statement issued in Jos, the Northern CAN Chairman said Northern Christian leaders and Christian faithful share in the joy of the parents of the freed Dapchi school girls.
He however encouraged parents and guardians of the deceased girls to take heart and prayed that God Almighty grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
