Defection Train Arrives Nasarawa As Over 5000 APC Members Defect To PDP

BY BABA AHMED, LAFIA – Barely one week after Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa state boosted that the state APC is intact and vowed that nobody will defect from All Progressives Congress (APC) to any other Party, over five thousand members of the ruling party on the platform of Kwankwasiyya moved to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The defectors were led by Aminu Dabo a chieftain of the PDP from Kano State, who urged the defectors to get new registration cards and also ensure
that they get their permanent voters card.

Dabo said that the new movement is real as PDP is ready to wrestle power from the governing APC in Nasarawa State and at the national level.

He said as democrats, they will ensure that politics is played according to the rules of the game that will bring about dividends of democracy in the country.

Receiving the defectors, State Chairman of the PDP, Mr. Francis  Orogu said that PDP will by the grace of God wrestle power from APC comes 2019 general election and thanked the defectors for the bold steps they took.
Orogu said that PDP will win all elections in Nasarawa from the House of Assembly to gubernatorial election in the state.
