Former Governor of Rivers State and immediate past Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, said that most of the delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who voted at the presidential primary of the Party are regretting their decisions.

Amaechi, who was one of the presidential aspirants of the APC, pointedly said that some of the delegates at the convention took money which guided their decisions, adding that they were now regretting their decisions.

He said that giving money to the people is not the solution to Nigeria’s problem, saying that the solution to Nigeria’s problem is that all must rise.

Amaechi, who stated these in Port Harcourt at the 60th birthday celebration of Apostle Eugene Ogu, the General Overseer of Abundant Life Evangel Mission, noted that the ‘Pastors and Bishops’ that attended the unveiling of Kashim Shettima as the vice-presidential candidate of the APC may not be real after all, adding however that some of them are Christians.

According to him; “Those ‘Bishops’ you saw at Kashim Shettima’s unveiling ceremony, they may not be Bishops, but they are Christians”.

He urged clerics to pray for the ordinary Nigerians to enable them elect a president that would solve the problems of country.

In the words of Amaechi; “Those who voted at the APC primaries, who are they? They are ordinary Nigerians. The small money they got solved their immediate problems but, now they are saying, they made a mistake. “If you are praying for us, pray for the leadership of the country, but also pray for ordinary Nigerians to be able to choose the right president to govern the country.

“Those Bishops you saw at the unveiling of Shettima) may not be Bishops but they are Christians. Pray for the ordinary Nigerians. Please vote for APC, I am not joking. May God make you vote for the right candidate that will change Nigeria.

“People are now saying when Amaechi was here insecurity was not like this bad. Remember, I was always in the bushes chasing those criminals. When you kidnap, I will come and look for you. I will call the security heads, we go into the bush together and we must recover the man. Now kidnapping is natural, as you are you expect to be kidnapped. Nobody cares,” he said.
