Dismissed Police Sergeant Snatching Motorcycles In Bauchi, Nabbed

BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, BAUCHI – The Police in Buachi has arrested one of its dismissed Sergeant, Makama Musa, who specialized in snatching motorcycles.

This was contained in statement issued by the Command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmed Wakili stating that; “On the 22/06/2020 at about 2030hrs, Patrol team attached to Yelwa Police Station Bauchi arrested a serial motorcycle snatcher, one dismissed Police Sergeant Makama Musa aged 34 years of Gombe, Gombe State”.

Wakili said that the dismissed Sergeant Musa was arrested wearing Police uniform along Dass Road following a series of complaints by the residents of the area, adding that the suspect has confessed to the crime. 

The statement further stated that at the point of his arrest, exhibits recovered from him include, Neon blue shirt and black trouser, Device rank of Sergeant and Police badge, Boxer motorcycle with number plate DBM-319-UR, Bauchi.

The Commissioner of Police, Lawan Jimeta has directed that the case should be transferred to SCID for discreet investigation after which the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution and possible conviction. 

The Commissioner assured members of the public that the Command is committed to the fight against crime and criminality in the State and will appreciate every useful information that will assist in the apprehension and prosecution of offenders.
