The political war over the control of the leadership of the National Assembly took another dimension on Tuesday morning as personnel of the Department of State Services (DSS), blocked the entrances and exits of the Federal legislature.

The stern looking security personnel prevented Senators and members of the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and those that defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition parties.

No reason was adduced for the development except that the Security personnel merely told some of the lawmakers they prevented from entering that they are acting on orders from above.

However, Forefront gathered that Senators on the platform of the APC are being allowed to use the executive gate that links the presidency to the National Assembly.

It was equally gathered that the APC Senator are desirous of impeaching the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and replaced with Senator Godswill Akpabio and Ahmed Lawan respectively.

Senate President, Dr. Saraki on Monday summoned a meeting of the leadership of the National Assembly for today.
