BY SEGUN ADEBAYO – The Ekiti Advancement Frontiers (EAF) has congratulated Governor Abiodun Oyebanji following his decisive victory at the polls, praising the outcome as a historic mandate and resounding endorsement that solidifies the state’s trust in his developmental strides.

According to a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital, EAF Convener Dr. Adedeji Odunayo Oso declared the election outcome a direct reflection of deep public confidence in the governor’s leadership and governance vision.

He also said the intense grassroots mobilization, strategic community engagement, and aggressive media campaigns executed by both the EAF and the Ekiti State University (EKSU) alumni support group contributed immensely to the electoral success, emphasizing that the unified commitment and relentless efforts of these allied groups proved pivotal in securing the governor’s second-term mandate.

This is as the Governor, who was the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in last Saturday’s governorship election, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, pledged to deepen good governance and accelerate sustainable development across the state as he received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The National Commissioner in charge of Oyo, Ekiti, and Osun states, Mr. Sam Olumekun, presented the certificate to Governor Oyebanji and his running mate and incumbent Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, at a brief ceremony held at the INEC State Office in Ado-Ekiti.

Speaking shortly after receiving the certificate, Governor Oyebanji, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, expressed profound appreciation to the people of Ekiti State for renewing his mandate, describing the outcome of the election as a strong vote of confidence in his administration.

He promised that this second term would focus on consolidating existing achievements while implementing policies aimed at improving citizens’ welfare, stimulating economic growth, and strengthening infrastructure across the state.

Speaking earlier at the certificate presentation ceremony, the INEC National Commissioner Mr. Sam Olumekun commended the orderly behavior of voters across the state while also praising the electorate for setting a shining example of democratic practice.

Similarly, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ekiti State, Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi, congratulated the newly re-elected leaders, stressing that the Certificate of Return symbolizes far more than just electoral success, but a solemn reminder of the immense trust and high expectations reposed in them by the people of Ekiti state.
