BY CHAMBERLAIN ODEY, JOS – The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in charge of the Northern States and the FCT, Rev Yakubu Pam, has called on Christians in Northern Nigeria to reflect on the significance of Good Friday and the Easter event.

Rev Pam particularly appealed to them to uphold the virtues of love and sharing of palliatives among the vulnerable section of the congregation as the highlights of this year’s celebration.

The Northern CAN leader while congratulating Christian faithful on the successful Lenten season, encouraged them to appreciate the reason to give thanks to the Saviour, who suffered persecution on the Cross of Calvary to achieve forgiveness for the sins of man.

Expressing faith in the power of prayer, Rev Pam called on the Christian Congregation throughout Northern Nigeria to join the rest of Christians in the country and the rest of the world to pray to God to sack the Coronavirus from the face of the earth.

He also advised Christians to abide by guided celebration, especially in areas where there are restrictions on movement, and to also observe prevalent sanitary rules as social distancing and regular washing of hands.
