Edo Guber Race: APC NEC Okays Ize-Iyamu’s Candidacy

BY EDMOND ODOK, ABUJA – The controversy-ridden emergency National Executive Committee, (NEC) of All Progressives Congress (APC) has ratified the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the party’s candidate for the September 19, 2020 governorship election in Edo State.

Similarly, the NEC also gave the newly appointed Governor Mai Malla Buni-led Caretaker/Convention Committee six months to organize elections into the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) that was dissolved by the NEC.

Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State gave highlights of the NEC’s decision while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the emergency meeting presided by over President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
