Eid-el-Fitr: Christian Group Felicitates With Muslims In Bauchi

BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, BAUCHI – A Christian organisation on the aegis of “Christians Solidarity Movement on COVID-19” has congratulated Muslim Ummah in Bauchi state for the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan period and Eid fitr celebration.

The Christians group through its Chairman, Pastor Magaji Zakka in an interview with journalists in Bauchi to mark the celebration of Eid-el-Fitir said his group celebrate with the Muslims for witnessing yet another season of Sallah celebration, which require love, peace and sacrifice in unifying the country.

Zakka urged them to make good use of the lessons learnt during the Ramadan to work with other well meaning groups and all Nigerians to move the country forward.

The clergy charged religious leaders and their followers not to relent in praying for God’s intervention over the COVID-19 pandemic which is affecting the country.

Zakka also thanked Governor Bala Mohammed and members of his cabinet for working hand in hand with all the stakeholders to successfully manage cases of Corona-Virus in the state.

He said that the Christians Solidarity Movement on COVID-19 is a movement that has come to stay in Bauchi State to promote peace, unity and harmonious relationship among the diverse ethnic and religious groups in the country for a common goal, especially on the global outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic

Zakka then called on politicians in the state to forget their differences and rally round the Peoples Democratic Party-led government in the state.

He commended the efforts of Governor Mohammed, saying within one year in office, the state has witnessed huge successes in all aspects of human development and therefore appealed to members of the public to intensify prayers for the State government to enable it fulfil its campaign promises toward nations building.
