el-Rufai Suffers From Psychological Ailment – Kaduna CAN Chairman
BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – The newly elected chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna state chapter, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, has declared that Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai may be undergoing severe psychological problems and needed to go for a medical check-up.
Reacting to el-Rufai’s interview on Channels Television on Thursday where he was quoted to have said even if he nominated the Pope to be running his running mate, about 67 per cent of Christians in Kaduna state would not vote for him, Hayab said the choice of Dr Hadiza Balarabe as a running mate was unpopular in some quarters.
Speaking to Forefront on phone, the CAN Chairman said, “Governor El-Rufai needs to see a medical doctor for medical check up to ascertain his stage of mind. Kaduna state is in a serious problem with a leader in the helms of affairs like governor El-Rufai.
“There are Christians in the state that supported him for his election in 2015. There are Christians that still support him and are working for him. It is unfortunate for such statements to come from a leader.
“We need to pray to God Almighty to heal our governor because he needs divine deliverance for him to be able to handle a state like Kaduna.
