Elder statesman and former Federal Commissioner of Information, Chief Edwin Clark, is dead.
Chief Clark, who was a respected prominent South-south leader died at the age of 97.
A statement from the Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town in Delta State, said that Chief Clark died on Monday night, February 17, 2025.
The statement which was signed by Prof. C. C. Clark, expressed the family’s gratitude for the support and prayers during this time of loss.
The statement stated; “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, announces the passing of Chief (Dr.) Senator Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday, February 17, 2025.
“We appreciate your prayers, and further details will be shared by the family,” it stated.
Clark’s death came just few days after the death of Afenifere leader, late Chief Ayo Adebanjo, who died at the age of 96years.
