…Declares PDP’s Ombudagu winner
The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Nasarawa State, on Monday, October 2, 2023 nullified the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
In its judgement via zoom, the three-man panel of judges chaired by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, declared the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Emmanuel Ombudagu as the winner of the March election in the state.
In the lead judgement, two of the justices held that the election was won by the PDP while the third judge dissented.
Justice Ajayi further held that the petitioner proved his case beyond reasonable doubt.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lafia, had declared Abdullahi Sule as the winner of the governorship election in Nasarawa State which was described as controversial that led to protest in parts of the State.
