The train of suspension by the All Progressives Congress (APC) moving round some states of the country has landed Enugu State and swept off some of its leaders and members.
This followed the announcement of the expulsion of former governor of the State, Mr. Sullivan Chime, the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Eugene Odo, and an aide to the minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Flavour Eze.
Two others namely, Mr. Joe Mmamel and Mr. Maduka Arum were equally hit with the expulsion hammer.
The party did not stop at only expulsion as it equally slammed suspension on former President of the Senate, Ken Nnamani and the minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama.
The decision of the APC was contained in the report of the disciplinary committee presented on Thursday by the Enugu State Secretary of the party, Mr. Robert Ngwu.
The report which was ratified by an enlarged State Executive Committee meeting accused the expelled and suspended members of anti-party activities.
They were specifically accused of having supported candidates of other political parties during the 2023 general elections.
