Cheering news came the way of former Accountant General of Zamfara State, Abubakar Bello Furfuri on Monday as five of his children finally regained their freedom from the armed bandits and terrorists’ den

The development is coming after the children spent exactly five months and one day with the bandits.

The released quintet were the remainder of Alhaji Furfuri’s seven children who were abducted by the terrorists-bandits gang in early June this year.

Reliable reports from local sources in the North West state indicated that an unspecified huge amount was paid as ransom to facilitate the release which took place on Monday, November 7, 2022.

Though the veracity of this claim could not be ascertained as at press time, it was gathered that the freed victims were in good spirit while arrangements were already being made for them to undergo comprehensive medical examination.

The armed bandits, had during the June unfortunate raid, stormed the ex-Accountant General’s home in the Furfuri community of Bungudu Local Government Area to abduct nine of his family members, including two housewives.

Recalled that some of the abductees were earlier set free after ransom payment while the remaining five children were still held hostage with the bandits demanding full payment of the ransom fees placed on the head of each victim – With PRNigeria reports
