- Insiders claim self-destruct by colleagues’ IED
Fate has dealt a fatal blow on notorious bandit leader in Zamfara State, Dogo Gudali, with his death inadvertently caused by members of his terrorist group.
Military sources in the North West region hinted that Gudali met his unfortunate death when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by the terrorists to eliminate troops of Operation Hadarin Daji exploded suddenly.
It was gathered the bandits had targeted the troops who were on a clearance operation at the fringes of Gando Forest in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Unfortunately for them, the plan turned sour and in the process, their leader paid dearly with his life.
According to PRNigeria reports quoting military sources; “The explosive was intended for troops, but detonated prematurely and killed the daredevil bandit leader, Dogo Gudali, and some of his fighters”.
Further confirming that the news, a competent insider stated that Gudali’s demise has triggered relief in some local communities across the North West geo-political zone.
The source explained that the people’s relieved disposition is quite understandable because; “Dogo Gudali and his gang members have always been terrorizing Anka, Gummi, Bukkuyum, and some parts of Sokoto and Kebbi States”.
