Father, Siblings Murder ‘Stubborn’ Last Child 

For allegedly killing their last born due to his ‘stubbornness and uncontrollable attitude’, a family of four is currently cooling their feet in Police custody in Imo State.

Reports said residents of Umueze 11 of in Ehime Mbano Local Government of Imo State are now grieving following the family members’ alleged connivance to snuff the life out of their last child, 28 years old Chukwuebuka for always giving them sleepless nights by his actions.

According to community sources, Chukwuebuka’s father and siblings pounced on him without notice and in the ensuing scuffle, he was reportedly beaten to death and thereafter buried in a shallow grave close to his residence.

A family source, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed that when the youths of Duruegwele community demanded to know the whereabouts of Chukwuebuka following his sudden disappearance from the village, the deceased father, described as the main culprit, informed them that his son had traveled to Ghana.

But as the angry youth continued breathing down their necks with threats of burning down the family house, the dead man’s sister eventually cracked under pressure and confessed to the crime.

Competent sources familiar with the unfortunate incident said the family is presently at the Imo State Police Command as official investigations into the dastardly act continue.

It was also learnt that the deceased immediate elder brother, Philip is currently on the run.

When contacted on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in Imo, Michael Abattam, confirmed the incident describing it as tragic.

Abattam however hinted that the culprits have been arrested and they would soon be paraded by the Police for their crime. – With agency reports
