FCT Police Boss Fumes, Arrests Policewoman For Roasting Nieces’ Hands Over Christmas Meat
BY SEGUN ADEBAYO – Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Sunday Babaji has ordered the arrest of a policewoman for roasting the hands of her 10-year-old niece, Miracle, on Christmas eve.
Mr Babaji’s orders followed the policewoman abuse and ill-treatment of the little girl for allegedly stealing her Christmas meat on December 24, 2022.
Reports indicated that the woman, identified as Ruth, inflicted severe injuries on Miracle and her shouts of pain and uncontrollable cries attracted neighbours who subsequently reported the matter at Dutse Police Station.
And confirming the Police woman’s arrest, FCT Command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh said investigations have already commenced into the incident as ordered by the Police Commissioner.
It was gathered that Ruth, who resides at the Dutse Alhaji area of the FCT, allegedly caught Miracle stealing a piece of meat from her pot of soup on Christmas Eve and in anger, tied her two hands and dipped them inside boiling water.
Neighbours who heard Miracle’s screaming endlessly, quickly informed the police about the unfortunate incident, leading to the little girl being rushed immediately to the Kubwa General Hospital for treatment.
According to a reliable neighbourhood source; “On Christmas Eve, Ruth caught the young girl (Miracle) stealing a piece of meat from her pot of soup which she prepared for Christmas.
“Visibly upset and angry with Miracle, the policewoman tied her niece’s two hands with rope and put them inside hot water. Her neighbours heard her screaming so loud and later she ran out of the house in pain. They were surprised at what they saw.
“The girl sustained serious injuries on both hands, and one of the neighbours, who could not bear it, immediately informed the police, who on arrival at the scene quickly rushed the thorough ill-treated and injured girl to the General Hospital in Kubwa.”
