Financing MSMEs Our Delight – Jaiz Bank
BY COBHAM NSA – Nigeria’s premier non-interest financial institution, Jaiz Bank Plc, says robust financing of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country remains its delight and unwavering commitment.
In this wise, the Bank has introduced bouquets of MSME’s financing and e-Banking products to excite both customers and their prospects as part of conscious efforts to help grow businesses and ease banking transactions.
Regional Manager of the Bank, North-west, Dr Nuruddeen Liman Ahmed stated this on Wednesday at the ongoing Kano State International Trade Fair, organized by the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA).
Dr Nuruddeen, who spoke during Jaiz Bank’s Day at the Trade Fair, said the Bank decided to focus on financing the sector having recognized the crucial role of MSMEs in empowering individuals and growing the nation’s economy at large.
“Our products are available to small business operators, such as artisans, farmers, women in business etc, to help grow their businesses in line with our mission of Making Life Better Through Ethical Finance, for everybody.
“Aside the marketing of our MSMEs’ products, we are at the trade fair to create awareness on our e-Banking products such as JaizMobile Plus, Jaiz Internet Banking, Jaiz USSD Code, Jaiz agent banking codenamed Jaiz Oya Oya etc, which are developed to make banking ease for all”, the manager said.
On the national Hajj Savings Scheme, which Jaiz Bank is collaborating with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Nuruddeen told participants at the Fair that this package aims at easing hajj processes for all intending Muslim Ummah in the country.
According to him, the scheme specifically seeks to make it comfortable for intending Muslim pilgrims to prepare ahead of time, by making gradual deposits through Jaiz Bank Plc, so that they can perform one of the five pillars of Islam, the Hajj, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
In his remarks at the occasion that had many of Jaiz Bank’s products and packages on display, Non-Executive Director of the Bank, Alhaji Mukthar Sani Hanga provided further insights on its growth and progress since operations commenced in year 2012.
