Funke Akindele Arrested for Violating COVID-19 Restriction Orders in Lagos
BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The Lagos State Police Command on Sunday announced the arrest of Funke Akindele Bello for deliberately violating the COVID-19 restriction order.
This followed a video that trended showing a large number of persons mainly in the entertainment industry celebrating a birthday party organised by Funke Akindele Bello and her husband.
Her arrest was carried out by Police detectives from the State CID Yaba that were promptly drafted to the location where Funke and her husband in an Estate, along Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki axis of Lagos State.
These were contained in a statement by the Lagos Police Command Public Relations officer, DSP Bala Elkana, in which he states that investigation is ongoing.
DSP Elkana said efforts are being intensified to arrest the remaining persons in the video, among whom are Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley and Abdul Rasheed Bello a.k.a. JJC Skillz.
The Police said that the above mentioned persons are advised in their own best interests to report at the State CID Yaba on Monday, April 6, 2020 or risk being declared wanted.
