Game’s Over, Army Tells Remnants of Boko Haram
BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – The Nigerian military on Wednesday declared that the game being played by members of the Boko Hara terrorists group is over and, therefore, called on their remnants wherever they are hiding, to give up the insurgency war forthwith.
The military said that its call became necessary owing to the fact that the ideology of Boko Haram has died and no longer tenable.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman in which he also said that there is no reason for the terrorists to continue to suffer or fighting a lost cause.
Usman further said; “As you are aware, your leaders have abandoned you and could no longer be of any help to you. Therefore you should all surrender to avoid dying like dogs because of the ongoing concerted military clearance operations.”
In the meantime, Brigadier General Usman said troops of 159 Battalion, 27 Task Force Brigade, Operation LAFIYA DOLE in addition to patrols and clearance operations also vaccinated children in their area of responsibility.
Usman said the immunization took place in over 13 villages within Yunusari LGA, Yobe State in which a total of 1227 children benefited in addition to provision of medical aid by the unit’s medical orderly.
