BY OGBONNA NNAEMEKA HENRY, ABUJA – The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to be afraid of anything as long as their hands are clean and free of any wrongdoing.

This is coming on the heels of latest claims by the PDP, which the APC has labelled as spurious and unfounded, that the Federal Government had concluded plans to arrest the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.

Reacting to the allegation in a statement credited to Acting National Publicity Secretary, Mr Yekini Nabena, the APC expressed surprise that the PDP has not exhausted its kitty of lame and baseless methods of opposition campaigns.

According to the APC, the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has copiously proven beyond reasonable doubt that it was committed to adhering strictly to the rule of law in all its actions, making a non-issue of the false alarms of trying to oppress the said leaders with the instrumentality of the law.

He further said that as long as anyone, no matter how highly placed, runs foul of the laws the administration had sworn to protect and defend, there would be no hiding place for such an one, but outside of that, anyone whose hands are clean needs not fear anything.

The party claimed that the laws of the land were only being exercised, and that anyone who has a case to answer should do so and stop raising false alarms.
